About The HG Collective
An independent health policy organisation dedicated to improving care and outcomes for people with Hyperemesis Gravidarum through evidence-led policy, clinical standards, education, and research.
Our Story
The HG Collective was founded in recognition of a critical gap in the UK health system: despite affecting up to 3.6% of pregnancies, Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) remains significantly under-recognised, under-diagnosed, and under-treated.
Too many sufferers face:
- • Long delays to diagnosis and specialist treatment
- • Inconsistent care across NHS Trusts
- • Limited clinical education for healthcare professionals
- • Lack of robust evidence on impact and service needs
The HG Collective exists to change this. We work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, researchers, sufferer advocates, and policy makers to embed evidence-led HG care into the heart of the NHS and UK health policy.
Meet the Team

Lindsay Salmon
Former Community Engagement Manager, Pregnancy Sickness Support
Lindsay became involved with Pregnancy Sickness Support in 2014 as a volunteer, contributing across peer support, fundraising, and education — including speaking to student midwives. She later progressed into staff roles, helping build partnerships, develop training for healthcare professionals, and strengthen the charity's community network. With a background in teaching and special educational needs, she retrained as a counsellor after experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum herself, and has been a strong advocate for improved care and support for sufferers.

Charlotte Howden
Former CEO, Pregnancy Sickness Support
Charlotte is the former CEO of the UK charity Pregnancy Sickness Support, which provides support and advocacy for people affected by nausea and vomiting in pregnancy and hyperemesis gravidarum. She has played a key role in raising awareness of HG, contributing to research discussions, and strengthening national support services, including counselling, peer support, and healthcare professional training. Her work is also informed by lived experience of pregnancy sickness, which has shaped her advocacy and leadership within the organisation.

Tuesday Davies
Former Peer Support Coordinator & Volunteer Manager, Pregnancy Sickness Support
Tuesday brings a wealth of expertise in volunteer management, operational systems and service design. After experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum during her third pregnancy, she volunteered with Pregnancy Sickness Support before progressing to Peer Support Coordinator and Volunteer Manager, leading one of the UK's largest national volunteer support services for people affected by HG. She specialises in designing efficient, people-centred services, with experience implementing volunteer management systems, improving operational processes and building sustainable support programmes. Passionate about combining practical systems with compassionate care, Tuesday is committed to creating services that empower both volunteers and the people they support.
